Dear Souled Out Bros You have no idea how special you made your ex-drummers' big party on April 18th, 2008. All guests loved the sets you played that night and I guess you could tell how they filled up the dance floor. A special good time was had by all. Thank you so much
Lisy and I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for all you’re support and playing that night for this worthy cause. We also wanted to share with you that the benefit that was held was a success. We did surpass the goal we were hoping to achieve for this worthy cause. If it weren’t for you guys donating your talents and time we would have never been able to accomplish this and collect a total of over $4,700 to give to the Foundation. We only had a week and a half to raise the money and if it weren’t for all of you that contributed and helped in making this happen we wouldn’t have been this successful. So THANK YOU!!!

You guys really know how to mix it up, from Classic rock, Motown, Blues, and Oldies, vocal harmonies were fantastic. Can't wait for you to play at my establishment again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to take this time to thank you all for joining us last night and for helping out at the event. It is greatly appreciated. You all have no idea how much this meant to me. All of our hard work and efforts paid off. It was a great success. We were able to collect a little over $3,000 for Jozlyn & the family which of course, doesn’t include the $600 we already collected & her company was going to match. I am even more excited because I am still receiving donations today. You were all great last night. Orlando, you and your band did an excellent job everyone loved you guys, we had a blast. It fills my heart with joy to know I am so blessed to have such caring people in my life. Thank you all.
I was there on Friday too, and I really enjoyed the band. They did some great sets that were a nice mix of different style songs.
What can I say – you guys were “THE HIT” of the party. Everyone is talking about how great the band was – the harmony, musical talent, song selections, enthusiasm – you name it! I guess treadmill shape is different from dancing shape – my body felt like I played a couple of hours of full court basketball when I got up on Sunday AM. Nancy & Marie are ready to become ‘groupies”, or is the proper term “band aides” (from the movie Almost Famous). Thanks again for everything. I look forward to hearing you play again soon.

The show was FANTASTIC. I could only stay for the first set, but the band has a really great sound and the music selection was spot-on. (let me tell you, Kevin plays a mean harmonica!...that along with percussion and trumpet, he was a very busy guy!) Come back to Shortway's sometime!!!

crazy busy after that night, I didn't even get to post--I was thinking of
posting a photo from that night, but time's been so limited, I finally just
decided today to write only, and say, great band, fun night, and can't wait to
see you perform again sometime! When (if) things slow down a little, would
love to see you and your friends at the restaurant sometime....
My son, Brad, loved "sitting in with the band", and thought Chewy, your drummer,
was funny and great! You, sir, are so multi-talented....the whole band was
really great and loved your song choices for the evening. Also couldn't
believe how your sets just went straight through...one great song into another,
without really stopping to waste time and chat and relax in between--you guys
work your tails off! So glad we were able to make it!!

Souled Out has taken some time off this summer to record a new demo CD. We expect to be finished by mid August. Once complete, song selections will then be added to the website for download.
We would once again like to thank Bernd for his years of service with Souled Out. He may have retired from the band, but he remains on our sub list- so you may see him again in the future. Bernd's replacement is the very talented Michael "Chewy" Czubik. You may have seen him before, as he has subbed for Bernd in the past. Friday, April 13 will be his first gig as the "official" drummer for the band. Help us give him a huge Souled Out welcome. Directions to can be found at www.crowsnest.com
I want to thank my Souled Out Bros for the opportunity to play with them the past few years. We are a great band, and with Chewy we will be an even better one. It is a thrill being part of Souled Out and even though Chewy is the man now, I will always feel to be a part of this band. See you for the last time March 9. Chewy you are the perfect fit.
For those who are unaware, Souled Out's drummer Bernd Ferber is retiring from the band. Bernd was one of the original members and is considered a huge part of the heart and soul of the band. This will be his farewell gig with us as he plans on spending more time traveling and basking in the Florida sun. It has been a great 5 years playing with Bernd! You guys were phenomenal at the Crow's nest last week. A seven piece band with horns and good old rock and roll is hard to come by these days. Tenth Avenue Freeze out was great! Looking forward to the next gig!
